The money coach we all should have had.
Darrul started with a pattern: smart, hard-working people who could explain their job in detail but went quiet when you asked where their money went. Nobody had ever sat down and built the system with them.
Who’s behind Darrul
Darrul was founded by Chip Moreno, a tax professional (IRS PTIN and EFIN holder) who built a practice preparing returns — and realized the same thing over and over: people didn’t need another dashboard. They needed someone to sit beside them, look at the real numbers without judgment, and build a system they’d actually keep.
So Darrul became a coaching company with a mascot instead of a sales funnel — where the first promise is honesty about what coaching can and can’t do.
Credentials, honestly stated
- ✓ IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and EFIN — tax preparation and planning
- ✓ Financial coaching and education — no license required, and none claimed
- ✕ Not a registered investment adviser, broker, CPA, CFP®, or insurance producer
- ✕ Does not provide investment, legal, or credit-repair advice
What Darrul believes
No shame, ever
Money mistakes are not moral failures. You won't get a lecture — you'll get a plan. Darrul has seen people make seven figures and people make $7 an hour. The move is the same: look at it, fix it, move on.
Honest about limits
We coach and educate. We don't sell products, manage money, or promise outcomes. When you need licensed advice, we say so and introduce you to someone good.
Systems over willpower
You don't need more discipline — you need a system that works on your worst week, not your best one. That's what we build together.
Plain language
If it can't be explained in a kitchen-table sentence, we haven't explained it well enough. Jargon is a red flag, not a credential.
